Back: One of Todd’s swim coaches had a profound effect on his outlook towards competition and life in general. His coaching philosophy was to “Put on your game face and focus to get the job done.” Todd did, and in the picture in this card, he is being honored by the Ohio House of Representatives for winning four medals in the World Special Olympics in Shanghai, China.
The determination and perseverance required to complete a task can be difficult, but if you remember the coaches words and give it your best, you’ll be glad you did. In fact, someone just congratulated you for it!
The greeting card you are holding exists because people like you helped me achieve my goals. I was motivated to work hard at whatever I did and never give up. I learned to believe in myself and others. Through my cards, I want to help families recognize how many opportunities and great moments they will experience having a person with a developmental disability in their life. Living my life has its challenges, but it’s also a lot of fun!
